William Carey Brown (1854-1939) was a distinguished military officer, inventor, and historical researcher. Born in 1867, Walter Mason Camp was a civil engineer who worked for the railroad and spent many summers traveling throughout the country interviewing various participants and survivors of the Indian wars. He died in 1925.
